By subscribing to meal services offered by The Mama Chef through the website, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation and Refund Policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, you are advised not to proceed with a subscription.
The Mama Chef operates on a strictly subscription based model. All meal plans are prepared, scheduled, and delivered based on advance subscriptions and confirmed payments. Due to the nature of food preparation, procurement, and logistics involved, subscriptions once confirmed cannot be cancelled under any circumstances. Customers are therefore advised to carefully review all subscription details, duration, and service terms before completing payment.
Once a subscription payment has been successfully processed, the order is considered final. Requests for cancellation, pause, modification, transfer, or rescheduling of subscriptions shall not be accepted after confirmation, regardless of changes in personal circumstances, availability, or preference.
Refunds are governed by a limited and conditional framework. If a customer has consumed even one meal from the subscribed plan, the subscription shall be considered partially utilized, and no refund shall be issued under any circumstances. This applies irrespective of the number of remaining meals or the duration left in the subscription period.
If no meals have been consumed at all, a refund request may be considered by The Mama Chef. Such requests are subject to internal verification to confirm that no meal delivery has taken place. Approval of refunds in such cases is solely at the discretion of The Mama Chef and does not create an automatic entitlement or precedent.
Approved refunds, where applicable, shall be processed only through the original payment method used at the time of subscription. The Mama Chef does not provide cash refunds or alternative settlement modes. Refund processing times may vary depending on banking institutions, payment gateways, and financial service providers, and may take several working days to reflect in the customer’s account.
No refunds shall be issued for dissatisfaction related to taste, food preferences, portion size expectations, or subjective opinions regarding meals. Taste perception is personal and varies from individual to individual, and such factors do not constitute grounds for refund or compensation.
No refunds or credits shall be provided for missed meals resulting from customer unavailability, incorrect delivery information, inability to receive delivery during the designated time window, or failure to respond at the time of delivery. In such cases, the meal shall be considered delivered for contractual and billing purposes.
Delays in delivery caused by external factors such as weather conditions, traffic congestion, road closures, curfews, strikes, power outages, or other circumstances beyond reasonable control shall not qualify for refunds, replacements, or subscription extensions.
Refunds shall also not be issued in cases where service disruption occurs due to force majeure events, including but not limited to natural disasters, government restrictions, public emergencies, or unforeseen operational constraints.
The Mama Chef reserves the right to refuse refund requests that are found to be fraudulent, repetitive, abusive, or inconsistent with this policy. Any attempt to misuse or manipulate the refund process may result in denial of service and suspension of future subscriptions.
The Mama Chef retains the right to amend, update, or modify this Cancellation and Refund Policy at any time without prior notice. Any changes shall be effective immediately upon publication on the website. Continued use of the services after such changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
This Cancellation and Refund Policy shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this policy shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Jammu and Kashmir, India.
